student - Account Administration

This is the account administration page for the student.dc.lincoln.ac.uk server.

It is essential that you have a Windows account to use in conjunction with this account, and that you are using a University machine running Windows, with Microsoft Outlook running. If you are, or become, a user of this machine, do not forget that your use is governed by University regulations and by the 1990 Computer Misuse Act.

Choices

Selecting an option will open an email message. Simply SEND the prepared message, and wait for a reply.
Create New Account will request a new Linux account.
Reset My Password will request a new password for an existing account.
Allow PostgreSQL databases will request the facility to run SQL type databases on your account.
Allow MySQL databases will request the facility to run SQL databases on your account.
Reset MySQL password will request a new password for an existing MySQL account.

Notes

Only carry out ONE action at a time, otherwise you will not know which password goes with which account.
This account is solely for coursework, any other use will result in suspension immediately.
Unused accounts are removed from this server, together with students who do not have a Windows account.
PostgreSQL account are removed at the end of the academic year.
Also this server is now subject to printer accounting, so use your printouts sparingly.
